FRITZ Wlan Box Optimierung
1. Login
Open a web browser (Firefox, Safari, Chrome).
launch fritz.box
To access the router, use the password. The router’s default password may be located there.
2. Activate or update auto channel
Next, choose “Wi-Fi.”
Choose “Wi-Fi Channel” from the “Wi-Fi” menu.
To activate it, choose “Set Wi-Fi channel settings automatically (recommended)”.
Click “Apply” to keep the changes in place.
From the menu, select “Refresh Auto Channel.” Examine Battle Net Launcher Not Opening as well.
3. Set Up 5 GHz frequency band
To access the “Advanced View,” click (…) in the upper right corner.
Next, choose “Wi-Fi.”
Choose “Wi-Fi Network” from the “Wi-Fi” menu.
Under the “Wi-Fi Network Name” column, choose “Different names for the Wi-Fi networks on 2.4 and 5 GHz.”
Turn on “Active Frequency Bands” by selecting “5 GHz frequency band active.”
In the future, enter a different name in the “Name of the Wi-Fi network (SSID)” input area to distinguish the 5 GHz wireless network from the 2.4 GHz wireless network.
Click “Apply” to keep the changes in place.
Connect the devices to the 5 GHz WLAN if they are suitable.
If the first three steps don’t produce the intended results, proceed to step four.
4. Load Factory Settings
Select “Factory Settings” next.
Choose “Load Factory Settings” next.
Accept/OK.
Now set up the Fritzbox in line with the Fiber7/Hybrid7 recommendations.
*Pay attention: When loading the factory settings, the current configuration will be wiped. Check Error Code 8 Safely as well.
